Sally Gatie started her career in the arts in a London architect studio, making technical drawings. It wasn't until after her four children were born that she returned to studying art and began a fine art degree at University of York. This work in the exhibition is work spanning the last ten years.

Let's Discuss Disability is a group exhibition of artists who explore their own disability through creative practice. Thought Foundation selected these local and regional creatives to connect to and challenge our audience.


With photography, spoken word, sculpture and “invalid carriages” on display, Let's Discuss Disability creates a personal and historical discourse about how we discuss disability in past, present and going forward.

Artist jane MacCracken and Children from five schools across the North East have created artwork which explored endangered animals. Inspired by photographs taken by some of the world’s best wildlife photographers. This exhibition provides an opportunity for visitors to experience the beauty of child art as well as forming connections with each species. Also on display is a selection of Jane’s original Biro drawings and large format prints, which explore the process of loss to the environment, generated by human destruction.
