Thoughtful Craft Beer Festival

Tuesday 10th of September | Charlotte

You know we love to bring you great stuff at TF, our Thoughtful Craft Beer Festival will be no different! We have Teamed with McColls Beer and Caps Off to bring you family friendly daytime shenanigans and an adult only night time offer on the 12th October.

So who is in the team…
“Caps Off specialises in craft beer, cider and spirit made in the heart of the industrial North East. Their aim is to bring you the finest selection of craft beer, cider and spirits whatever your budget. Helping to support and maintain our local communities and craftspeople”… Great, we love what they do and stand for too!

Then there is the award winning McColl's Brewery… Inspired by British, continental and contemporary beers Daniel and Gemma launched McColl's Brewery in spring 2017 to create beautiful beers from simple ingredients.

This is what they have to say … “our urban upbringings and now rural family life to our travels and North-Eastern roots, all the experiences, cultures and flavours have come together to influence our beers. With a love of both the Arts and Sciences and an appreciation of traditional and modern beer styles we aim to give our drinkers beers from across the spectrum”… our kinda people!!

Obvs TF will offer our usual industrial environment (it used to be a vehicle repair shop you know), art and food with a sprinkling of additions, like awarding pork pies (a great beer partner), heaps of veggie and vegan food too. Set against the back drop of our significant Thoughtful Planet exhibition - creative responses to our currents environmental climate. We will have live music and a great set list too.

The festival will showcase around 30 taps, a great selection of craft beer from across the North East and the UK… so if you are up for tasting new beers and appreciating the craftsmanship of North East breweries, then this is the festival for you.

For families (2-6pm)
The Saturday daytime event will welcome families, tickets are free for young humans. TF offers 2 imaginative play spaces (inside and outside) and there will be a free creative workshop too. Musician Paige Temperley will be playing a couple of live sets… thats the kids sorted then!
